Privacy policy

Updated:

Draft — this text is awaiting legal review. Until then it describes our actual practice, not a final legal document.

This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit networklance.net or networklance.rs or send us a message, why, and what rights you have. It applies in accordance with the Serbian Law on Personal Data Protection (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 87/2018, “ZZPL”) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Controller

The controller is the sole proprietorship Saša Blagojević PR “NetworkLance”, Jovana Skerlića 28/2, 18000 Niš, Serbia, company registration no. 63870293, tax ID 109025548 (“NetworkLance”). For any question about personal data, write to office@networklance.net.

What we process

Contact form. Your name, email address, company and phone number (optional), topic and message. With the message we also record the page or listing you wrote from and, if you arrived through a campaign, the campaign source tags (UTM parameters and an ad network click identifier). These tags are kept only in your browser for the duration of the visit (sessionStorage) and are sent to us only when you submit the form. We send an automatic acknowledgement to the email address you enter (without the content of your message).

Abuse prevention. To prevent spam and automated attacks the form has a hidden field and a fill-time check, and we briefly record your IP address to limit the number of messages (at most five per hour). The IP record is deleted automatically after one hour. We use no third-party anti-spam service.

Visits. networklance.rs is hosted by DreamWeb and networklance.net by Namecheap; their servers process technical request data (IP address, browser, time) for delivery and security. We measure visits with Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and collects no personal data — only aggregate figures such as visits, pages and referrers.

  • Answering your enquiry and any negotiation of a contract — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and your consent, given by ticking the box in the form.
  • Site security and abuse prevention — our legitimate interest.
  • Aggregate visit statistics and measuring campaign performance — our legitimate interest; no cookies and no tracking of individuals.
  • Advertising (only when enabled, see below) — your consent only.

Cookies and advertising

By default the site sets no tracking cookies. We only remember your theme choice (light/dark) in your browser’s local storage. If you arrive from an ad or a link with a campaign tag (UTM), we keep that tag and the page you landed on in your browser’s session storage until you close the browser, and send them with your contact form message — so we know which campaign brought the enquiry.

When we run ad campaigns, we may enable ad network conversion measurement (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn). In that case the site shows a notice with two equal choices — “Accept” and “Reject”. Ad network scripts and cookies load only if you accept. Your choice is remembered in your browser and you can change it at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you reject, the site works exactly the same.

Recipients and processors

We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use the following processors, who process data only on our instructions:

  • Dream Technologies Group d.o.o. (DreamWeb), Serbia — hosting of networklance.rs and storage of the messages sent from it.
  • Namecheap, Inc., USA — hosting of networklance.net, storage of the messages sent from it, and email (sending contact form messages and the automatic acknowledgement).
  • Plausible Analytics (EU) — aggregate visit statistics, no personal data.
  • Google, Meta, LinkedIn — only if advertising tools are enabled and you have consented.

Some of these providers are located outside Serbia and the EU (e.g. in the USA). Such transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the ZZPL and the GDPR, such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

We keep contact form messages for as long as needed to reply and to conduct any resulting cooperation, and no longer than 24 months after the last communication, unless the law requires longer retention (e.g. business records). Rate-limit records are deleted after one hour.

Your rights

Under the ZZPL and the GDPR you have the right to request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Send requests to office@networklance.net; we reply within 30 days. If you believe the processing is unlawful, you may lodge a complaint with the Serbian Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (poverenik.rs) or with the supervisory authority in your EU country of residence.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. Messages are accessible only to the people who answer them. We apply technical and organisational measures proportionate to the risk.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the latest change is shown at the top of the page.
